Point taken - excellent post...and it REALLY speaks to me! I can say I have personally been in the situation you speak of where the client wants to micromanage you...if you let it start to begin with, by the time you wake up and put a stop to it, it may be too late and you will ruin the relationship with your client - although it was most likely never the right client for you to begin with.

So true, Danielle! It's difficult, especially for a new Virtual Assistant, to turn down a client but it's easier to say "No" right up front than it is to get out of a bad situation once you're in it. You want to use your intuition when talking to prospective clients. If your gut is saying "No", don't say "Yes". :-)
