One of the things I’ve been busy with over the past couple months is getting my new online Virtual Assistant Business Forms store up and running. I wanted to put it on its own site to keep it separate from the new Administrative Consultants Association site we are setting up. Just makes things easier all the way around.
Well, this “little” project has taken a bit longer than anticipated. Basically, it’s done, but I have some more info to add on some of the pages as well as some cosmetic design tweaks. In the meantime, I need pre-launch buyers to make sure everything is all polished and runs smoothly. For that reason, I’m holding a 50% off sale for the next 48 hours only. My products are worth every penny they cost so it’s not often I have sales in the first place, and I will never have a sale at this steep a discount ever again. So, if you’ve been holding off buying any of my products, now is the time to get in there. They will never be this low-priced again and like I say, it ends in 48 hours.
Just type in this word into the discount code field when you checkout: 50offsale

PS: Oh, and even if you don’t buy anything, I really would like to know you like the look of the new store compared with the old page. Is it more pleasing on the eye? Is it easier to navigate? Do you think it’s easier to find the products you’re looking for? Is there anything that is confusing or bugs you about it? I would really appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks in advance!

Hi Danielle,
I love your Gritty VA site, and have been reading it for some time. I’m a newbie training graduate, and your words and offerings inspire me.
I took a look at your new online store – very fresh looking and easy to follow. As usual, your style shines. You mentioned still tweaking the online store pages. As for feedback, I offer:
1. At the main page, the drop-down options under *Store* are difficult to navigate, in that the list shows below the screen. And when I move to adjust the side bar, I lose the drop-down box, so I can’t see/select what other options you have listed.
2. At the FAQs page, #11 Q: Why do I need to have clients sign a contract…
First sentence, *it’* should be *it’s*.
You may already be aware, and I wanted to be sure. I care how you’re represented online.
BTW, what shopping cart software are you using on your online store? I’m always keeping my eyes open for new and improved, and I really like the benefits of this particular one, as you describe. Are you okay with sharing that info?
Cheers to you – many great years of success.
Lynn Lotsey
Aw, thank you so much for that feedback, Lynn! It is truly helpful and I really appreciate it.
I got that typo on the FAQ page fixed. On the first issue, would you mind possibly sending me a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Also, what browser do you use? It’s rendering correctly for us in Firefox and IE 7 and 8, but I don’t know what other browsers my tech guy checked (he’s usually pretty thorough though).
As far as the WP template, I wouldn’t refer my worst enemy to it, LOL. It has been horrible and there was lots of coding that had to be fixed and rewritten from scratch. On second thought, maybe I would refer my worst enemy to it, LOL.
(Joking aside, if you want to hit me via email, I’ll tell you which one it is, but honestly, I would never, ever advise anyone to get it. Unless you are a programmer or have a programmer at your disposal, you will never get it to work properly.)
I love the new store. You don’t have to scroll as much and it’s visually appealing.
Congrats!
I REALLY like your new online store Danielle! It is a lot easier to navigate and to see what products to have to offer.
Congrats Danielle!
Thanks so much Heather and Jeannine! It really helps to know that.
The new store looks fabulous, Danielle! It is well structured and easy to navigate. I looked at it with Firefox and had no issues with the drop-down menu options.
Thanks, Carol! Your site is coming along nicely, too. Great work
Thanks, Danielle.
Hi Danielle,
First the new site is great- very easy to navigate and user friendly. Second thank you so much for being nice enough to offer a “new site” discount. I am in the process of changing from a virtual loan processor (since 1995) to a “virtual support assistant” and things have been especially lean. I have wanted to purchase your products so I would not have to re-write and re-structure my contracts to work with new clients in a new industry. I am still in the process of building a website (rather than use the one I have for mortgage processing which I will keep up- who knows there may still be a lone originator actually doing business and needs a processor, I can dream!) and I hope to finish it soon so I can start working on getting new clients. I look forward to finishing my site and joining the association- your blog has been instrumental in my choosing what to do and where to focus since January.
Thanks again for the great blog and especially for allowing a discount purchase!
Dashya
Woo-hoo! I love sales ☺. I took you up on your offer and purchased the rest of the forms I needed. Thank you for such a wonderful discount. I’m in the ramp-up stage of my business and have found your advice to be the most down-to-earth, direct, and honest. When will your next class be held? I loved your “Pricing & Packaging Biz Smart Intensive” class.
The new site looks great. My comments:
Free Version Upgrades: Wow, what a great offering! And it’s buried it in the FAQ page in the answer to the second question. This offering is a good selling point – one that should be mentioned more prominently elsewhere on the site.
I didn’t see the Activity & Time Analysis Tool. Do you still offer it?
“Set” Descriptions: In the descriptions, there are lists of the different forms/items included in the sets. It might be helpful if you had a rollover with a brief description for each of the forms in the list. Alternatively, each of the items could link to their respective description pages (although you’d have to go back to the Set pages).
Redirects on gif Icons: If you click on any of the pdf or Word icons (throughout the site), it redirects to a blank page. This happened in both Firefox and Safari.
Thanks!
Kim
Thanks so much for your comments, Dashya!
Excellent ideas, Kim. Thank you so much!
Yes, I do still offer the Activity & Time Report. I still have to fix the cover so I had it on hold for the time being. However, if you’d like to get it before the sale is over, I can arrange that. Just shoot me an email directly.
I don’t know that a rollover will be feasible for the descriptions. I’ve already put so much money into reprogramming things and I’m about ready to pull my hair out with some of the glitches caused by the original vendors terrible coding. I think folks are just going to have to settle for clicking to get the descriptions, LOL.
Great catch on the icons–I’ve got them all fixed up now. Thank you!
This test sale and everyone’s feedback has been soooo helpful. I really appreciate all of you!
